Eligible members of either the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp, Space Force, and Coast Guard) or the Uniformed Forces as defined in 10 U.S. Code § 101 includes active guard and reserve personnel, the commissioned corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the commissioned corps of the Public Health Service. Individuals who have been released from active duty or received an honorable or general discharge from active duty or received an honorable or general discharge from active duty in the armed forces are also eligible upon presenting a copy of DD Form 214.

BMW Motorrad entered the cruiser segment in 2020 with the launch of the BMW R 18, a bold move into a market dominated by heavyweight American brands. The R-18 wasn’t just another cruiser—it was a statement. With its massive 1,802cc “Big Boxer” engine and design cues inspired by the 1936 BMW R5, the bike paid homage to the brand’s heritage while carving out its own space with a modern edge.
