The 2024 BMW F 900 GS has already made waves as one of the most formidable adventure-touring motorcycles available this year. It’s a machine that effortlessly tackles rugged off-road terrain while still being able to cruise down highways with ease.
With fierce competition from bikes like the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro and KTM 890 Adventure, the F 900 GS is a powerful contender in the adventure bike market. However, VTR Customs decided to take this already impressive motorcycle and elevate its rugged appeal even further. Enter the F 900 GS “FAST!” a custom masterpiece that amplifies the bike’s aggressive persona while keeping it accessible to anyone looking for an adventure-ready ride.
VTR’s custom take on the F 900 GS doesn’t involve any drastic mechanical changes, but it brings an entirely new visual experience to the table. The bike gets a striking makeover, starting with a bold paint scheme that combines satin light gray with vivid yellow accents. This fresh color palette gives the bike a look that demands attention while retaining the F 900 GS’s rugged essence.
And while the bike’s stance already exudes toughness, VTR has pushed this further with a host of custom components that give the bike an edge, from a trimmed front fender to a zip-tied custom number board attached to the sub-frame. The whole aesthetic screams “rugged” and “raw”, with just the right amount of attitude.
The modifications to this BMW adventure machine go beyond just its rugged new look. VTR has lowered the handlebar, giving the bike a more aggressive, sporty stance and tweaking the rider’s position to lean slightly forward for a more engaged ride.
To add to the performance improvements, the bike also features an SC Project muffler, which not only enhances the exhaust note but also reduces some weight, making the bike even more nimble and responsive. Other thoughtful touches, like a brass chain that offers greater durability and rust resistance, show that the changes aren’t just about style—they’re about endurance too.
Despite all these customizations, VTR wisely left the engine and main frame untouched. The 2024 BMW F 900 GS’s 895cc engine is already a beast, pumping out over 100 horsepower, and it holds its own against its competitors from KTM and Triumph. There’s no need to mess with what’s already working so well. The bike’s braking system, suspension, tires, and wheels also remain the same, meaning that this makeover is more about taking the bike’s visual appeal and overall experience to the next level without complicating the ride.
